Market definition - Fast fit outlets are defined as those that undertake servicing and replacement of parts, all with fixed menu pricing, service while you wait and with no pre-booking. The fast fit market is valued according to the revenues generated from the sale of service parts, wear & tear parts, mechanical parts, tires and consumables & accessories. All are valued at retail selling price, including taxes. Labor and fitting charges are not included in the market valuation.
Service parts include filters, wiper blades, ignition plugs and engine oil components. Wear & tear parts include batteries, emission systems, brake pads & discs and ride control. Mechanical parts are defined as those parts which are neither changed as part of a service nor are considered to be wear & tear parts. These include transmission and power train parts. Consumables include cleaners, waxes, polishes, windscreen washes and antifreeze.
