The upward dynamics of production of diesel fuel established in Russia in recent years (growth rate in 2006 was 107% in 2007 - 103% in 2008 - 104%) was reversed in the crisis year of 2009, when production fell by 4% . In 2010 the volume of produced diesel fuel increased by 4%, and exceeded pre-crisis levels. Russian manufacturers provide more than 80% of the world diesel fuel market.
In 2010 it produced 69.9 million tons of diesel fuel, of which 81% is "summer" diesel fuel. In second place is the volume of "winter" diesel fuel. The Arctic purchases of diesel fuel (and other uses) account for less than 3% of the Russian-made diesel fuel.
