According to OECD, percentage of population that has attained tertiary education amongst 25-34 year-olds stood at 41.30%, when compared to OECD average of 38.62% as of 2011 (fig 12). Further. Chile is also well ahead of the OECD average in population that has attained at least upper secondary education (fig 13). Nevertheless, employment rates among 25-64 year-olds with Tertiary-type A and advanced research programs was one of the lowest among the OECD nations, indicative of the fact that the education curriculum might not be job oriented. However, the government is expected to address the challenges and employment prospects are expected to improve.
