The European TV Industry report provides an overview of the major manufacturers of TVs in Europe, including Russia and Turkey. It has been published to highlight the recent consolidation in the industry and the migration of production from high to low-cost locations.
Chapter 2 provides an overview of European TV production. In addition to historical data a forecast for production has been made for 2015. The historical data has been extracted from Reed Electronics Research’s Yearbook of World Electronics Data an on-going information service which provides production and market data on 53 countries.
Chapter 3 provides profiles of the principal companies manufacturing TVs in Europe. 30 major companies have been identified as still having TV manufacturing or assembly locations in Europe. Of the total there are six West European manufacturers; 10 CEE (CEE 5/ Turkey 3/Russia 2); nine Asian (China/Hong Kong 3/South Korea 3/ Taiwan 3); and five Japanese.
A listing of manufacturers by European location is provided in Chapter 4 and a list of closed manufacturing sites/companies in Chapter 5.
