The company markets its products under brand names such as Vigor, Leco, Danubio, Faixa Azul, Serrabella, Swift, Maturatta, Cabana Las Lilas, Hereford, and Friboi, among others. JBS operates in Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Australia, the US, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, China and Russia. It is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil and employs 128,036 people. The company recorded revenues of BRL55,055.8 million (approximately $31,178.1 million) in the financial year ended December 2010 (FY2010), an increase of 57.7% over FY2009. The operating profit of JBS was BRL66.3 million (approximately $37.5 million) in FY2010, a decrease of 83.5% compared to FY2009. The net loss was BRL302.7 million (approximately $171.4 million) in FY2010 compared with the net profit of BRL220.1 million (approximately $124.6 million) in FY2009.
