In June, deal volume in the alcoholic drinks segment increased by 35% to 27 deals compared to 20 deals in May. Furthermore, the deal value in the segment was increased substantially from US$3,653.4 million in May to US$24,440.9 million in June.
Deals in alcoholic drinks segment increase; food, health & beauty and beverage deals decline
The CPG deals in the Alcoholic Drinks segment showed a remarkable rise in June as its share of the total deal value increased from 9% in May to 56%. Focus on consolidation in local markets by global brands was the main trend during the reporting period.
CPG deals volume marginally improves in June but fails to grow in value terms
CPG deals during June showed marginal growth of 5% by volume compared to the previous period, though value wise they remained stagnant. While month-on-month growth was the highest in Europe suggesting a slow recovery, it was lowest in Asia-Pacific reflecting weak consumer confidence.
