In 2007, the global glycol production capacity and output was 19.8 million tons and 17.65 million tons respectively, up by 1.3% and 2.1% respectively compared to 2006.
In 2007, glycol production capacity and output in China was 2.22 million tons and 1.79 million tons respectively, up by 20.8% and 14.76% respectively compared to 2006. However, the glycol self-sufficient rate of china was only 27.8%.
