Imports of fertilizer to Malaysia are expected to fall 1.7% each year to around 236,000 metric tons by 2026. This follows a 2% year-on-year decrease since 2007. Malaysia was ranked 22nd in 2021, with Sweden in the lead at 261,000 metric tons, trailed by Brazil, Spain, and Thailand. Production of fertilizer in Malaysia saw a nominal increase from 25,000 metric tons in 2018 to 25,000 metric tons in 2019. The country was ranked 28th in 2019, with Cuba at the top with 25,000 metric tons, followed by India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
