Global pet food exports are estimated to reach around 8.7 million kilograms by 2026, up 1.2% annually from 2021. Since 2016, the global supply has grown 3.1% year-on-year. In 2021, Germany had the highest animal feed export of 917.3 million kilograms. It was followed by France, the United States and the Netherlands in second, third and fourth place respectively. Japan saw an increase of 73.1% year-on-year, while Ivory Coast dropped 55.9% since 2016. European pet food sales are expected to reach €17.4 billion by 2026, rising at a CAGR of 1.1% from 2021. Since 2016, the European market has grown 1.7% year-on-year. In 2021, Germany was the top pet food sales market at €4.7 billion. France, the United Kingdom and Spain were in second, third and fourth place respectively. Slovakia saw an increase of 15.7% year-on-year, while Poland dropped 18.6% since 2016.
