Revenue from European transportation is projected to reach €517 billion by 2026, up from €491 billion in 2021, growing at an average rate of 0.6% year on year. Since 2016, the European market has grown by 0.9% each year. In 2021, Germany was the biggest contributor to this revenue, with €133 billion. France, Italy and Spain followed, ranking 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Luxembourg saw an increase of 4.6% year on year, while Ireland fell by 0.2% year on year since 2016. Expenditure on transportation in the European region is set to reach €1.1 trillion by 2026, up from €1.1 trillion in 2021, growing at an average rate of 0.2% year on year. Since 2016, demand has fallen by 0.8% each year. Germany was the biggest contributor to this expenditure in 2021, with €215 billion. The United Kingdom, France and Italy followed, ranking 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Albania saw an increase of 5.3% year on year, while Greece fell by 3.3% year on year since 2016.
