European mining and quarrying production is predicted to reach around €142 billion by 2026, down by a yearly average of 3.2% from €166 billion in 2021. Since 2016, production has decreased by 1.1% each year on average. In 2021, Norway was the biggest producer with €53 billion, followed by the United Kingdom, Poland and Germany. Hungary showed a yearly growth of 17%, while the Netherlands was down by 14%. European mining and quarrying revenue is forecast to reach €105 billion by 2026, an 8.8% yearly decrease from €179 billion in 2021. Since 2016, the market has declined by 4% each year on average. Norway was the highest revenue generator in 2021 with €52 billion, followed by the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands. Hungary rose by 15%, while Italy dropped by 43%.
