Last year, the country imported 83,640 kilograms of shrimp, but that number is projected to dip to around 81,000 kilograms by 2026. Since 1998, shrimp imports have decreased by an average of 0.2% each year. In 2021, Kittitian placed 92nd in the world rankings, while Nigeria topped the list with 83,640 kilograms. China, Spain and Japan followed behind in second, third and fourth place respectively.
