European butanol import is forecast to drop 2.8% per year over the next five years, from €76 million in 2021 to €64 million by 2026. Since 2016, European demand for butanol has risen 5.6% annually. In 2021, Italy was the leading importer with €23 million, followed by Belgium, France and Germany. Greece saw a 137.6% increase since 2016, while Lithuania experienced a 49.9% decrease. European butanol export is expected to decline 2% per year until 2026, from €91 million in 2021 to €80 million. Since 2016, European supply of butanol has increased 4.5% annually. In 2021, Germany was the top exporter with €28 million, followed by the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France. Latvia saw a 106.6% growth since 2016, while Slovakia saw a 74% drop.
