Salvadoran dried fruit exports are projected to hit $18 million by 2026, up 1.1% a year from $17 million in 2021. This marks a 13.3% decrease since 2001. In 2021, the country ranked 94th, overtaken by Nicaragua at $17 million. Germany, the US and Chile came in second, third and fourth respectively. Salvadoran dried fruit imports are expected to reach $711 million by 2026, a 2.7% annual growth from $604 million in 2021. This represents a 10.9% rise since 1999. Last year, the country was placed 89th, overtaken by Cambodia at $604 million. Germany, the UK and China took the top three spots in the ranking.
