Global propane exports are forecast to reach 126 billion kilograms by 2026, up from 103 billion in 2021. This represents an average annual growth rate of 3%. Since 2016, global supply has increased by 4.6% each year. In 2021, the United States led the way with 63 billion kilograms, followed by Canada, Algeria and Russia. Chile reported a 115.2% year-on-year growth, while Brazil saw a decrease of 94.1%. Global propane imports are projected to reach 93 billion kilograms in 2026, up from 79.9 billion in 2021. This equates to a compound annual growth rate of 2.1%. Since 2016, global demand has increased by 3.2% on average each year. In 2021, China was the leading importer at 15.9 billion kilograms, followed by the United States, Japan and Mexico. Costa Rica saw a 369.4% year-on-year growth, while Pakistan reported a decrease of 59.7%.
