Sri Lanka's imports of fungicide are expected to reach 1.3 million kilograms by 2026, a 0.6 per cent increase from 2021. Since 1999, the country's demand has grown 13.7 per cent annually. In 2021, Sri Lanka was 74th in the ranking of global importers, preceded by Azerbaijan with 1.3 million kilograms. France, Tanzania and Germany were the next three largest importers. In 2017, Sri Lanka's exports of fungicide amounted to 129 kilograms, compared to 674 kilograms in 2016, a decrease of 80.9 per cent. Since 1999, the country's supply has decreased by 34.3 per cent annually.
