The country was number 19 in 2018. Russian exports of gypsum are set to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.2% over the next five years, reaching around 138 million kg by 2026. This follows a 25.4% year-on-year growth since 2001. In 2021, Russia was the 22nd largest exporter of gypsum, with 112.6 million kg, behind Belgium at the top with the same amount. Thailand, Spain, and Iran were the second, third, and fourth largest exporters respectively. Russian imports of gypsum decreased by 67.4% between 2017 and 2018, from 5.5 million kg to 1.8 million kg respectively. This is a 33.1% decrease since 2001. In 2018, Russia was the 19th largest importer of gypsum.
