Stainless steel shipments in United States: Diminution in 2017

According to new data announced by American Iron and Steel Institute, compared with 2016 the variable hardly decreased by 1.13%. Chromium shipments slightly went down from 2 262 000 metric ton in 2016 to 2 236 400 metric ton previous year, in contrast to the prior year when it went up by 1.43%. United States saw a growth of 20.89% in chromium shipments over the past 20 years. Compared to its average, the chromium shipments is now higher as the mean equals 1 857 420 metric ton and the indicator pinpoints a slight overall rise since the start of time series. It attained its all-time high of 2 270 000 metric ton in 2014 and record low of 1 200 000 metric ton in 2009.
