Import of frozen carcases and half-carcases of pig meat to Bulgaria: Increase in 2017

European Commission reported that pig meat import climbed by 16.19 percent compared to the prior year. Pig meat import went up from 814 820 Euro to 946 720 Euro, compared with the previous year when it went down by 33.59%. Bulgaria saw an increase of 5 233.63% in pig meat import over the past 17 years. Besides, it has attained a 0.05% average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a slight overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 1 196 160.59 Euro from 2001 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 5 360 190 Euro in 2011 and record low of 770 Euro in 2006.
