Export of composition leather with a basis of leather or leather fibre from Philippines: Decrease in 2017

The indicator strongly declined by 81.2% in comparison with 2016, according to new statistics issued by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable decreased greatly from 28 867 kilogram in 2016 to 5 426.53 kilogram previous year, in contrast to the prior year when it climbed by 96.6 percent. Philippines saw a growth of 24 566.05% in skins export during the last 20 years. Though, it has shown a decrease at a 0.07% compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a slight overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 5 703.58 kilogram from 1998 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 28 867 kilogram in 2016 and record low of 18 kilogram in 2010.
