Export of shawls, scarves, veils of silk from South Africa grows in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that in comparison to 2016 clothing accessories export grew greatly by 111.62%. The indicator strongly rose by 15 522, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it climbed by 17.03%. South Africa saw a growth of 1 600.06% in clothing accessories export during the last 18 years. Furthermore, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.35 percent during the 5 years with a modest overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 9 850.89 from 2000 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 79 910 in 2001 and record low of 217 in 2008.
