Crude oil consumption in transport, storage and post in China decreases in 2015

In comparison to the prior year crude oil consumption declined by 20.07 percent, updated numbers from China National Statistical Office reveal. The variable diminished from 44.85 ten thousand metric ton to 35.85 ten thousand metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 69.84%. It hit its 16-year low. China saw a drop of 79.52% in crude oil consumption over the past 16 years. Moreover, it has shown a diminution at a 0.19 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a slight overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 136.15 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it attained its maximum of 175.94 ten thousand metric ton in 2002.
