Import of newspapers, journals and periodicals with more than 3 issues per week to Senegal increases in 2016

Newspapers import went up by 22.46 percent in 2016, according to data announced by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator climbed by 10 684 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it increased by 59.05 percent. Senegal saw a rise of 600.88% in newspapers import over the past 21 years. Furthermore, it has shown a raise at a 0.02% compound annual growth rate over the five years with a modest overall drop since the 1996. It averaged 89 419 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 169 599 kilogram in 1998 and record low of 8 312 kilogram in 1996.
