Export of frozen, dried, salted or in brine octopus from Ecuador climbs in 2015

United Nations Statistical Office reported that compared to 2014 octopus export sharply rose by 9 769.7 percent. The variable grew greatly by 3 224 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 10%. The overall changes for the previous 22 years attained a decrease of 98.55%. Moreover, it has shown the compound average annual growth rate of 0.27% over the last five years with a marginal overall drop since the 1994. It averaged 17 882.68 kilogram from 1994 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 225 069 kilogram in 1994 and record low of 22 kilogram in 2007.
