Export of brooms and brushes of vegetable material from Dominican Republic: Growth in 2016

Consumer goods export went up strongly by 179.28 percent in 2016, according to new figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator increased sharply by 3 867 kilogram, compared to the previous year when it declined by 80.27%. Dominican Republic saw a rise of 6 046.94% in consumer goods export during the last 21 years. Though, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.22 percent during the five years with a negligible overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 8 481.9 kilogram from 1996 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 36 178 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 2 kilogram in 1997.
