Import of cigars, cheroots, cigarettes, with tobacco substitute to Namibia: Drop in 2016

According to numbers published by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2016 cigars import dropped strongly by 35.25 percent. The indicator went down greatly by 5 579 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 95.15%. Namibia saw a raise of 992.64% in cigars import during the last 17 years. However, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.15 percent over the last 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 760 075.88 US Dollar from 2000 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 5 348 407 US Dollar in 2008 and record low of 938 US Dollar in 2000.
