Import of garments made up of textile felts and nonwoven fabric to United States declines in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that in comparison with the prior year apparel import dropped by 17.79%. The indicator went down by 18 515 280 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 12.1%. United States saw an increase of 290.71% in apparel import over the past 27 years. Still it has attained a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.03% during the five years with a negligible overall rise since the 1991. It averaged 64 961 405.85 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 125 906 528 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 21 894 608 kilogram in 1991.
