Import of jute and other textile bast fibres tow and waste including yarn waste, garnetted stock to Mexico: Decrease in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office published that vegetable fibre import sharply dropped by 88.19% in comparison with the year before. Vegetable fibre import fell strongly from 728 kilogram in 2016 to 86 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 97.56%. Mexico saw a decline of 98.47% in vegetable fibre import during the last 28 years. Furthermore, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.58 percent over the five years with a modest overall increase since the 1990. It averaged 18 637.32 kilogram from 1990 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 235 261 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 47 kilogram in 2008.
