According to refreshed figures released by European Commission, flax yarn import strongly rose by 136.84% in comparison with the previous year. The indicator sharply went up from 1 900 kilogram in 2016 to 4 500 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it increased by 35.71 percent. The overall changes for the previous 15 years attained a fall of 97.01%. Furthermore, it has had the compound annual growth rate of 0.18 percent over the 5 years with a negligible overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 199 726.67 kilogram from 2003 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 2 580 800 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 1 400 kilogram in 2015.
