Durum wheat exports in Canada: Rise in 2017

According to figures announced by Canada National Statistical Office, in comparison to the previous year durum wheat exports negligibly increased by 3.59%. The variable climbed hardly from 1 714.4 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 1 776 thousand tonnes prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it dropped by 10.22%. Canada saw a drop of 0.97% in durum wheat exports during the last 22 years. Moreover, it has had a decline at a 0.01% compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a slight overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 1 705.6 thousand tonnes from 1996 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 2 603 thousand tonnes in 2014 and record low of 1 267.1 thousand tonnes in 1998.
