Import of cotton yarn containing 85% or more by weight of cotton to El Salvador: Increase in 2017

According to data issued by United Nations Statistical Office, in comparison to the prior year cotton import rose strongly by 264.23%. The variable increased sharply by 7 673.23 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it diminished by 11.17%. The overall changes for the prior 24 years hit a rise of 123.24%. Moreover, it has had a 0.07% compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a modest overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 27 993.55 kilogram from 1994 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 314 369 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 2 904 kilogram in 2016.
