Hybrid electric vehicle registrations in Norway: Rise in Q2 of 2018

Electric vehicle registration strongly rose by 42.96 percent in 2nd quarter 2018, according to numbers published by European Automobile Manufacturers' Association. Electric vehicle registration went up sharply from 3 613 to 5 165, versus the prior quarter when it diminished by 24.7%. In Q2 2017, the indicator declined by -4.53% and reached 5 180 number. When examining the year-on-year situation, a -0.29 percent diminution can be observed between Q2 2017 and the same quarter the year after. Norway saw an increase of 112.46% in electric vehicle registration during the last 4 years. Likewise, the electric vehicle registration is now above average of 3 729.44 with a modest overall raise since the start of observations. It hit its all-time high of 5 426 in 1Q 2017 and record low of 2 202 in 2Q 2014.
