Import of penicillins or streptomycins not in dosage forms to Malta grows in 2016

In comparison to the previous year pharmaceutical import increased by 5 percent, new statistics from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. The indicator grew by 1 kilogram, in comparison with the prior year when it diminished by 92.45 percent. The overall changes for the previous 22 years hit a decline of 47.5%. Furthermore, it has attained the average annual growth rate of 0.6 percent over the last five years with a slight overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 1 439.73 kilogram from 1995 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 19 940 kilogram in 1998 and record low of 2 kilogram in 2012.
