Import of ash or residues containing mainly copper to Chile falls in 2017

Compared to the previous year copper import strongly decreased by 99.92 percent, according to numbers announced by United Nations Statistical Office. Copper import declined greatly from 9 834 kilogram in 2016 to 7.8 kilogram prior year, in contrast to the previous year when it grew by 32 680 percent. The overall changes for the prior 24 years hit a decrease of 99.99%. Likewise, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.09% during the 5 years with a marginal overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 386 482.16 kilogram from 1994 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 8 939 947 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 5 kilogram in 2013.
