Asbestos consumption in Colombia: Fall in 2014

U.S. Geological Survey announced that asbestos consumption went down strongly by 45.33% compared with one year earlier. The variable decreased sharply from 15 000 metric ton to 8 200 metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it fell by 40.48%. The overall changes for the prior 7 years hit a raise of 12.33%. However, it has shown a drop at a 0.08 percent compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a marginal overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 13 792.86 metric ton from 2008 to 2014 and it attained its all-time high of 25 200 metric ton in 2012 and record low of 7 300 metric ton in 2008.
