Import of hulled, pearled, sliced or kibbled maize to Paraguay decreases in 2017

Maize import greatly dropped by 33.71 percent in comparison to the prior year, according to adjusted data presented by United Nations Statistical Office. Maize import fell strongly from 6 351 545 kilogram in 2016 to 4 210 562 kilogram previous year, versus the prior year when it grew by 6 438.01%. Paraguay saw a rise of 667.79% in maize import during the last 13 years. Besides, it has had an increase at a 1.92% average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a marginal overall growth since the 2005. It averaged 1 671 635.54 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 6 351 545 kilogram in 2016 and record low of 15 599 kilogram in 2012.
