Import of unbleached plain weave cotton containing less than 85% by weight of cotton weighing more than 200 g/m2 to New Zealand: Decline in 2017

In comparison to the previous year cotton import went down strongly by 43.86 percent, according to statistics released by United Nations Statistical Office. Cotton import greatly decreased by 728.89 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 75.53%. New Zealand saw a decrease of 96.35% in cotton import during the last 29 years. As well as it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.31% during the five years with a slight overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 15 453.21 US Dollar from 1989 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 143 769 US Dollar in 2000 and record low of 897 US Dollar in 1990.
