Export of dyed twill cotton containing more than 85% by weight of cotton weighing less than 200 g/m2 from Brazil climbs in 2017

Cotton export greatly went up by 34.74% compared to one year earlier, adjusted numbers from United Nations Statistical Office display. Cotton export increased sharply by 42 953 kilogram, in comparison with the previous year when it diminished by 8.74 percent. Brazil saw a fall of 7.69% in cotton export during the last 29 years. Furthermore, it has attained a rise at a 0.17 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a negligible overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 179 517.31 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 487 728 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 46 493 kilogram in 1996.
