Export of smoking pipes and pipe bowls from South Africa: Decline in 2016

Consumer goods export diminished sharply by 31.1 percent in 2016, revised figures from United Nations Statistical Office pinpoint. Consumer goods export greatly fell from 93 537 US Dollar to 64 444 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 57.94 percent. South Africa saw a raise of 616.36% in consumer goods export during the last 17 years. However, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.21% over the last five years with a modest overall rise since the 2000. It averaged 67 335.18 US Dollar from 2000 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 350 337 US Dollar in 2013 and record low of 634 US Dollar in 2004.
