Household expenditure on maintenance of vehicles in Japan: Decrease in 2017

According to figures published by Japan National Statistical Office, in 2017 the variable fell by 7.56 percent. It's new all-time low since 2003 as maintenance of vehicles expenditure diminished by 10 808 Japanese Yen, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 6.29%. Japan saw a fall of 8.29% in maintenance of vehicles expenditure during the last 15 years. Moreover, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.04% over the five years with a slight overall drop since the 2003. It averaged 153 781.53 Japanese Yen from 2003 to 2017 and it attained its maximum of 164 792 Japanese Yen in 2008.
