Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Europe: Rise in 2017

According to revised statistics issued by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2017 horses import climbed by 6.87 percent. The indicator grew by 83 966.5 kilogram, versus the previous year when it decreased by 0.99%. The overall changes for the prior 18 years attained a decrease of 85.36%. Besides, it has shown a 0.03% compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a slight overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 3 942 149.53 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 8 918 800 kilogram in 2000 and record low of 1 111 000 kilogram in 2013.
