Import of parquet panels and tiles of wood to Sri Lanka: Decrease in 2017

According to statistics published by United Nations Statistical Office, wood product import strongly decreased by 99.47% in 2017. The indicator fell sharply by 129 329.4 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it declined by 30.84 percent. The overall changes for the previous 27 years reached a decrease of 97.52%. Moreover, it has shown a diminution at a 0.67% compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 64 227.65 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 199 029 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 23 kilogram in 1992.
