Import of maize flour to Guyana climbs in 2016

The indicator rose sharply by 83.65% compared to the prior year, new numbers from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. Maize flour import greatly grew from 1 321 kilogram in 2015 to 2 426 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 49.1%. The overall changes for the previous 26 years reached a diminution of 89.35%. Furthermore, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.5 percent over the 5 years with a negligible overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 53 634.54 kilogram from 1991 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 324 229 kilogram in 2000 and record low of 521 kilogram in 2002.
