Import of fresh or chilled whole mackerel to Slovakia decreases in 2016

Mackerel import declined greatly by 33.24% in 2016, according to figures issued by United Nations Statistical Office. Mackerel import sharply went down by 13 942 US Dollar, compared to the previous year when it increased by 257.44%. Slovakia saw a growth of 18 321.05% in mackerel import over the past 20 years. Likewise, it has had a 0.39% average annual growth rate during the five years with a modest overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 33 247.75 US Dollar from 1997 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 454 982 US Dollar in 2011 and record low of 122 US Dollar in 2000.
