Import of manioc starch to South Africa drops in 2017

The variable declined by 19.19 percent in comparison with the year before, according to numbers announced by United Nations Statistical Office. Manioc starch import went down from 19 158 028 kilogram to 15 482 269 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it rose by 19.68 percent. South Africa saw a raise of 457.53% in manioc starch import during the last 18 years. Besides, it has had the compound annual growth rate of 0.01 percent during the last five years with a marginal overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 17 339 033 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 26 307 498 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 2 165 415 kilogram in 2001.
