Import of penicillins or streptomycins in dosage forms to Mauritius: Decline in 2016

According to refreshed statistics announced by United Nations Statistical Office, pharmaceutical import diminished by 26.9% in comparison to the previous year. The variable went down by 797 kilogram, compared with the prior year when it climbed by 7.75%. Mauritius saw a decline of 8.26% in pharmaceutical import over the past 24 years. Besides, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.44% during the five years with a modest overall raise since the 1993. It averaged 12 619.58 kilogram from 1993 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 81 585 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 368 kilogram in 1999.
