Export of instruments and appliances used in medical, surgical or veterinary sciences from Ireland increases in 2017

Medical device export increased by 14.41% in 2017, revised figures from European Commission present. Medical device export went up by 130 135 872 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it rose by 7.01 percent. Ireland saw a raise of 0.49% in medical device export during the last 7 years. Likewise, the medical device export is now greater than its average which equals 955 425 792 Euro and the indicator highlights a marginal overall drop since the 2011. It reached its all-time high of 1 056 385 472 Euro in 2013 and record low of 836 601 664 Euro in 2014.
