In 2017 flax yarn export dropped greatly by 33.33 percent, according to revised data announced by European Commission. Flax yarn export strongly went down by 100 kilogram, in comparison with the prior year when it rose by 200%. The overall changes for the previous 13 years hit a decrease of 60%. Besides, it has had a 0.15 percent compound average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a modest overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 153.85 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 500 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 100 kilogram in 2015.
