Fuel oil demand in India: Increase in March 2018

In March 2018 fuel oil demand rose by 12.14 percent, according to updated statistics released by JODI Data. The indicator went up from 3 420.76 thousand barrels to 3 836.18 thousand barrels, versus the previous month when it diminished by 7.22 percent. The previous year, this variation attained 5 percent and the variable reached 3 680.4 thousand barrels in March 2017. Between March 2017 and the same month one year later, the data show a 4.23% fluctuation. The overall changes for the prior 16 years hit a drop of 45.93%. Furthermore, the fuel oil demand is now below average of 5 391.36 thousand barrels with a slight overall decline since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 8 340.93 thousand barrels in January 2005 and record low of 2 979.37 thousand barrels in October 2014.
