Import of dyed woven fabric containing less than 85% by weight of artificial staple fibres mixed mainly or solely with cotton to South Africa: Growth in 2017

Compared to the prior year the indicator grew sharply by 2 701.12 percent, according to revised statistics issued by United Nations Statistical Office. Woven fabric import increased greatly from 156 kilogram to 4 369.74 kilogram, in comparison with the previous year when it diminished by 40.91 percent. South Africa saw a rise of 9.85% in woven fabric import over the past 18 years. However, it has attained a decrease at a 0.54 percent CAGR over the last five years with a marginal overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 100 271.04 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 394 874 kilogram in 2004 and record low of 156 kilogram in 2016.
